Hello - hello - hello (echo echo echo).
Anyone out there?
Let's start throwing some topics out on the board for people to discuss. Now that it's the new year I'm starting up my training again after a few weeks off. I have a couple of marathons, couple of triathlons, couple of "fun" runs planned, etc. What's everyone else doing? I pretty much know what I need to be doing physically to prepare for my events. I think the big thing I'm going to focus on this year is my nutrition. Any suggestions about resources for this?

Hey Jon,
I am here. I am excited for the new year. I hope to do some Triathlons, as I got a new Wetsuit last year. I love going to the gym, but I find that I have a hard time doing cardio, because I am so interested in lifting weights and trying to get bigger. I eat a lot, knowing that nutrition is a huge aspect of exercising. It is expensive to eat healthy, but it is worth it. My biggest advice for anyone is "Don't drink Soda". I don't know if you consume a lot of soda, but it seems like more and more people do. I make fruit smoothies a few times a week, mostly after an intense session of lifting weights.
Here is what I put into my Smoothie: Skim Milk Frozen Yogurt Fresh Yogurt Strawberries BlackBerries (excellent source of Fiber) Peaches Blueberries (if I can afford them) Frozen orange juice concentrate Scoop of Soy Protein.
These are very tasty and provide me with a ton of energy.
Good luck in all your training and nutrition goals. Good luck in all the events that you will compete in this year.
